Quinta da Alorna Tinto 2016 is a gold medal in international competition

Quinta da Alorna is once again an international distinction. The new harvest of Quinta da Alorna Tinto 2016, launched earlier this year, was tested at the Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2019 and collected the gold medal.

The spring edition of the international competition founded by Meininger Verlag 15 years ago took place in Germany and analyzed around 7,200 wines from around the world. Quinta da Alorna Tinto 2016 was thus one of the 600 awarded wines, which in March will have the opportunity to perform at ProWein in Dusseldorf, the largest wine fair in the world.

Quinta da Alorna Tinto 2016 is part of the entrance range of the renowned family-owned Almeirim, making it the perfect choice to accompany everyday meals, especially red meats, charcuterie and delicious risottos.

Through the combination of the Syrah, Castelão, Tinta Roriz and Alicante Bouschet varieties, Quinta da Alorna Tinto 2016 presents an honest, fresh and elegant profile, being a young wine with a lot of flavours and reflecting the characteristics of the region in which it is inserted “Says Marta Reis Simões, an oenologist at Quinta da Alorna.

With a heavy ruby tone and a unique aroma of ripe red fruit, chocolate notes and a light touch of spice, Quinta da Alorna 2016 is rich in fruit and dense in the mouth, with round tannins.
