Eight districts of continental Portugal are now under yellow warning due to the forecast of showers, which can be strong, accompanied by hail and thunderstorms, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The districts of Évora, Faro, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, and Portalegre are under yellow warning between 10 am and 7 pm today.
The yellow warning, the second less severe, indicates a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
The IPMA foresees for today in the mainland the sky is generally very cloudy, showers that, especially during the afternoon, can be sometimes strong, of hail and accompanied by a thunderstorm and small descent of the maximum temperature.
The forecast also points to the weak, sometimes moderate wind blowing from the west quadrant on the southern coast in the afternoon. In the highlands of the North and Center, a moderate wind is expected from the eastern quadrant until mid-morning.
The minimum temperatures in the continent will range between 05 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 12 (in Faro and Lisbon) and the maximum between 15 (in Guarda) and 22 (in Setúbal and Guarda).
