The group Reis da República was born in 2013, and in 2014 they released their first EP. The group consists of Gonçalo Bicudo on the bass, Tomás Lobão on the drums and vocals, Luís Ogando and Bernardo Sotomayor on the guitars, José Sarmento on the keyboards and vocals, and Madalena Tamen on vocals.
In the words of the band itself, on their latest album: “We wanted to tell a story that was not a lesson, nor a memory of someone we knew. That it could be just a good story about being a rat, about making a choice and, above all, about liking gardening”.
Reis da República debuted their 2020 with their first concert of the year at the Time Out Market, on October 26th, at 9:30 pm. It was an intimate concert and with a homey aura with which the group enchanted the room and left us wanting more.
You can also watch Zanibar Aliens on the 29th of October, Estraca on the 30th, Too Many Suns on the 5th of November, and much more at Time Out Market. More info here.
