Sadio Mané elected African Player of the Year


Sadio Mané was, this Tuesday, distinguished as the best African Player of the Year by the African Football Confederation (CAF).

Liverpool winger then beat competition from Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) in contention for the distinction.

This was the first time Mané has won this individual award, having been on the podium for the last three editions.
