“Santana” dominates Netflix audiences in Angola

Since last Friday, the film “Santana” has been available to the more than 160 million subscribers of this important global provider of films and television series, based in California. Following the Angolan film are “The power of the project”, with 523 views, and the “Festa do Pijama”, with 434.

Filmed in 2014, in Angola and South Africa, the film started to be edited in 2015, but financial difficulties and administrative problems delayed the conclusion. Only in May 2020, finally, the team managed to finish editing the film, budgeted at $ 1.4 million.

This action-oriented film tells the story of two brothers, a policeman (DNIC) and a military man (FAA), involved in the fight against organized crime in Angola. The police film is co-produced by Angolan Maradona dos Santos and Chris Roland, an American.
