The migratory phenomenon of São Brás de Alportel in the first half of the twentieth century, when Argentina assumed itself as a preponderant destination, will be in focus at the Dr. Estanco Louro Municipal Library which on Wednesday, November 13, will present the conference “A Portuguese Emigration to Argentina ”.
Almost all São Paulo families share stories of emigration to Argentina… stories of long and longing that will be remembered here.
The meeting, scheduled to start at 18h00, will be guided by Prof. Dr. Marcelo Borges, author of the book: “Gold Currents: Portuguese Emigration to Argentina from a Regional and Transatlantic Perspective”.
