São Brás de Alportel resumes safe transportation service “Vir à Vila”

With the adoption of a set of tight preventive measures, the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel resumed this October, the transport service “Vir à Vila”, in its various circuits in the municipality, to combat isolation, in the most peripheral areas of the municipality.

This service was suspended in March this year, as a preventive measure of contagion by the pandemic of the most isolated senior population in the municipality at the same time that new support and protection services were launched: “If you need, we can do the shopping for you”, Friendship Line and the regular visit of multidisciplinary municipal teams to these senior citizens.

Bearing in mind the importance of this service for these residents, the Municipality decided to resume this service on October 14, with reinforced safety rules and fortnightly for the mountain circuit and monthly for the other circuits.

Raising awareness, reducing the regularity of transportation and the period of stay in the village, reducing the capacity of the bus, complying with distance, mandatory use of a mask and availability of disinfectant are some of the measures implemented.
