Serra de Monchique – About the Village of Monchique

Gastronomy

Tourism and Crafts

Monchique is a municipality with a great tourist tradition, either because of the historical influence of the spa, the antiquity of the attractiveness of Miradouro da Fóia, or the characteristics of its forest/mountain microclimate between the Alentejo and the “Algarve”. and for its fairs promoting traditional products of the county.

Interestingly it is the county where the seasonality of this activity is least felt. This activity still has a strong influence, namely on catering, crafts and even on the trade.
