Sintra offers free admission to municipal museums from December

Admission to the municipal museums of Sintra will be free from December 1st, while the commemorations of the 25 years of World Heritage in the Cultural Landscape category.

The proposal, endorsed by the mayor of Sintra, Basilio Horta, states that “from December 1st and during the commemorations of the 25 years of Sintra World Heritage” will be granted “exemption from the fee due for the purchase of tickets, to all visitors to the municipal museums“.

Sintra has six municipal museums: the Leal da Câmara House Museum, the Ferreira de Castro Museum, the Anjos Teixeira Museum, the Sintra Natural History Museum, the S. Miguel de Odrinhas Archaeological Museum and the MU.SA Arts of Sintra.

In the proposal is recalled that the classification of Sintra as World Heritage in the Cultural Landscape category was attributed on December 6, 1995.
