Smoke Hills and SANTOZ 3500 among “Super Emergentes” competitors
After participating in Music Unlock, it is the turn of the Smoke Hills to compete in “Super Emergentes“. The contest is promoted by the Festival Emergente, and aims to support young national talents, or residents in Portugal.
The winners have the opportunity to perform at the festival, on November 28, in a new format: with audiences and in livestream.
Despite 3 years of existence, it was in April 2020 that Francisco and Pedro decided to make the Smoke Hills public, with the release of the EP “Homem do Século 20”, available on digital platforms. The second project “Monte Salvado” was presented during the months of June and July, with each of his nine songs being released every Saturday.

September was already marked for the posterity of the band because on the 5th, they gave their first live concert in the political-cultural initiative Sementeira, and on the 7th they received the news of being among the 10 semi-finalists of the Music Unlock contest. October brought the most recent novelty, the participation in the “Super Emergentes” contest.

Francisco Santos, known in the hip-hop world as Santoz, is among the artists competing for “Super Emergente”. The contest is promoted by the Festival Emergente, and aims to support young national talents, or residents in Portugal.
Santoz was born in Viseu, where he lived until he was 16 years old. Despite a stint in London, he never forgot his origins, choosing to rhyme in his native language, Portuguese.
Passionate about the metaphors and syllabic constructions that the Portuguese language offers, he always tries to convey a message of awareness. In 2018 he joined Twone Prod with whom he has already released 6 singles. 2019 marked the beginning of live performances on 5 different stages. In 2020, he launched those he considers as his first two singles “Comigo” and “Puritanas“.
In this special year, the organization of the Festival Emergente, decided to reinvent the festival instead of canceling it, thus living up to its mission. On the 28th of November and in mixed format, in person and in “live stream”, that the festival will be held with Santoz 3500, the opportunity to act in a new format for the artist and the public.
