Sporting beats Braga in the 2019/20 League debut

65views
Sporting made their best start in the first Portuguese women’s league, beating Sporting Braga 2-1 in Alcochete in a match in which the lioness operated the last quarter of an hour.

Uchendu opened the scoring for the Braga in the second minute, but the goals of Diana Silva (75) and Nevena Damjanovic (79) allowed Sporting to enter the ‘right foot’ in the 2019/20 championship and add the first three points.

The Braga came to the advantage when no team had yet justified it, taking advantage of the speed and opportunism of Uchendu to open the scoring in the second minute.

Sporting Braga failed to recover from the mood blow and Sporting could have expanded by Hannah Wilkinson (88), while Braga only in rebates (90 + 1) again threatened a shot over Francisca Cardoso.
