After a troubled week, which began with the elimination of the Portuguese Cup against Alverca and culminated in the ‘divorce’ of the fans, Sporting welcomed and beat Rosenborg 1-0 on Thursday.
Yannick Bolasie scored the only goal of the night at Alvalade, leaving Jorge Silas-oriented side in second place in the Europa League Group D, just one point behind PSV, who did not go beyond a 0-0 draw at the reception to LASK Linz.
