With this triumph, the second in so many other games, Sporting now shares the command with the Germans from Füchse Berlin and Kristianstad, who, however, already have four challenges.

After winning by 27-25 at Dinamo Bucharest, in the debut in the successive competition of the EHF Cup, Sporting won once again in Europe, days after registering the first defeat in the Portuguese championship, against FC Porto ( 27-33), in the 11th round.

Sporting only lost 1-0 and the last draw in the game was prematurely, at 3-3, since, from then on, they were always ahead, even holding a seven-point advantage in the second half. best response to a strong reaction from the Swedes.

Practically without technical flaws, unlike the opponent, Sporting was solidifying the leadership that in the initial stage doubled in goals (6-12) with shooting effectiveness that reached 75%, against 42% of the hosts.

Kristianstad showed a much more concentrated and competitive attitude after the resumption, gradually approaching Sporting, until they were just one goal away, at 20-21, at 43 minutes, after making three consecutive goals.

When the Nordics’ morale was higher than ever, Sporting didn’t hesitate and applied a 6-0 partial clarifier that practically sentenced the match, taking the challenge to 20-27 with little time for a new reaction.

The 6-2 in goals in favor of the Portuguese on the seven-meter line reveals their strong attitude.
