Stay Hotels brings together 50 partners to discuss quality and sustainable tourism

Since the beginning of the company’s project, in 2013, JUST STAY HOTELS (JSH) is committed to obtaining certification in the scope of Quality and Environment (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards), as these would guarantee aligned management with the values of STAY HOTELS.

In this sense, the national hotel brand gathers, this Friday, the 21st of February, its strategic partners in the Aliança Underground Museum (Sangalhos, Anadia) to analyze the main performance indicators of the Integrated Quality and Environment Management System and the actions planned for 2020. The initiative also includes a visit to the Museum and a session by the Full Professor Dr Carlos Costa, from the University of Aveiro, on Sustainable Tourism.

The operation of a hotel brand like STAY HOTELS is based on a network of service providers that are essential to guarantee excellence and quality to customers. For this reason, we bring together our main partners every year – from cleaning companies, maintenance companies, lawyers, software suppliers, etc. – to share the results (which are also theirs) and future challenges, always with a view to improvement ”, explains the Administration. “We also want to provide a memorable experience for our partners and foster networking relationships,” he adds.

In 2019, STAY HOTELS recorded positive developments in several quality indicators, namely in the water and paper consumption indexes (-12% compared to 2018), in the energy consumption index (-2%) and in the recovery rate waste (+8 pp). The national hotel brand is also proud to receive increasingly satisfied customers, with the number of written complaints decreasing.

Since 2016, STAY HOTELS has been certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards by LRQA (Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance). The Integrated Quality and Environment Management System resulting from these standards incorporate, in the management, a methodology of the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act), aiming to respect JSH’s internal rules, legal imperatives, customer satisfaction and reducing environmental impacts.
