Sustainable technology festival supported by pilot Nico Rosberg
The former Formula 1 champion is also an investor in the eponymous competition dedicated to electric cars, Formula E.
In May the GreenTech Festival will take place, an event that aims to offer technology aficionados and consumers a sustainable festival with the aim of alerting to waste and the need to create new practices that take into account the environment.
The initiative is noble and has the support of Nico Rosberg, former Formula 1 champion who since finding himself retired in 2016 decided to support this initiative. “I’ve always been interested in technology and innovation,” says Rosberg in a conversation with TechRadar. “There are so many technology events out there but there are none with a purpose. We want to accelerate a powerful change. There is a space to be filled and the technology is incredible. ”
Rosberg also pointed his finger at other technology events such as the CES, stating that “it has no purpose.” “We want to be a beacon for positive change with the latest technology and product launches, the most avant-garde and ambitious people and honour the most special achievements in the space of technology,” said Rosberg.
The GreenTech Festival is not Rosberg’s only sustainable technology initiative. The former German driver is an investor in the Formula E electric car competition, the Lyft transport service and the Lilium passenger drone manufacturer.
