The images of the second day of the Web Summit and the (serious) warning to the world

Technology summit ends tomorrow.

The second day of the biggest technological summit, held in Lisbon, was marked by the intervention of former Cambridge Analytica employee Christopher Wylie, who left a serious warning to the world: The lack of control on the internet may imply in the future a “scary world” “he said in a session on digital media and privacy.

“The internet is used hundreds of times a day, on cell phones, on computers … and there are no rules. When you go to the doctor, if you buy food, you travel by plane, you feel safe, most of you sit down. So why not regulate this “damn” area? For example, with an institute, “said the man who was at the origin of the Cambridge Analytica-Facebook scandal.

The day was also marked by the presence of Samsung President Young Sohn who spoke about the evolution of artificial intelligence in today’s world. And also by the intervention of Stephanie Mcmahon, who focused on the role of women in the world of WWE that was promoted thanks to the movement of netizens and fans of wrestling.

The Web Summit’s technological, innovation and entrepreneurship summit, with its inaugural session on Monday, runs until Thursday at the Altice Arena (formerly Meo Arena) and the Lisbon International Fair (FIL) in Parque das Nações.

For this edition, the third in Lisbon, the organization promised “the biggest and best” ever, with new features in the program and the expansion of space, with more than 70 thousand participants expected from 170 countries.
