The loss of a child is thought of in the play ‘C’est la vie’

The search for words and hope for those who lost a child is the theme of ‘C’est la vie’, “performance-experience-limit”, which opens next Wednesday in the Garrett Room of the D. Maria National Theater II, in Lisbon.

With text and design by Mohamed El Khatib, ‘C’est la vie’ is a Collectif Zirlib spectacle played by Fanny Catel and Daniel Kenigsberg. The performance is Frédéric Hocké and Mohamed El Khatib and the direction of the scene, by Olivier Berthel.

‘C’est la vie’ is a co-production of Bois de l’Aune with the theatres of Orleans Loiret, Le Liberté, Toulon, Center Dramatique National de Tours-Théâtre Olympia, Théâtre de la Ville, Paris, Théâtre Ouvert – Center National des Dramaturgies Contemporaines and Festival d’Automne à Paris.

The show has the support of the Institut Français and the French Embassy in Portugal.

The text, which was endorsed by the Center National du Livre (CNL), won the Commission Nationale d’Aide prize for la Création de Textes Dramatiques-Artcena and was published by Les Solitaires intempestifs in March 2017.
