The seminar coordinated by Madalena Victorino begins on Monday, the 20th, and runs until the 24th of July, every day, between 3 pm and 6 pm.
Dance as a firearm is the title of this course on contemporary dance that will be divided into five themes, one each day, and will take place in the Auditorium of the D. António da Costa School
At 6 pm, at the TMJB Esplanade, the 6th volume of the collection The sense of the masters: What can be seen will be released – What can be seen. A bilingual edition, Portuguese / English, referring to last year’s Almada Festival workshop, directed by the master of the mask theatre and artistic director of the German company Familie Flöz, Hajo Schüler.
The book will be presented by Catarina Santana.

Madalena Victorino (b. 1958) studied contemporary dance, choreographic composition and arts pedagogy at The Place (London School of Contemporary Dance), at the Laban Center (Goldsmiths College, University of London) and at Exeter University. In the 1990s she was a co-founder of Forum Dança, the first independent dance structure in Portugal. Between 1996 and 2008, at Centro Cultural de Belém, he developed the first space for international artistic enjoyment for a young audience. Between 2008 and 2018 she was co-programmer of the TODOS Festival – Cultural Walk, a joint initiative of the Lisbon City Council and the Academy of Cultural Producers. In 2016, with Giacomo Scalisi, he created the Lavrar o Mar project, which stimulates the arts and cultural mediation in the Algarve hills and Costa Vicentina.
