The Terreiro do Paço tells us stories
Terreiro do Paço counts this week with a new video-mapping show, a special experience that tells us stories of color and movement, on the facades of one of the most touristic places in the capital. ‘Macao, a Legendary Journey’ is the name of the show, an impressive journey focused on the point of the globe where, even so far, China and Portugal touch each other, all from the legend of the Goddess A-Ma.
This Friday is the last chance. There are sessions at 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Unmissable!
In Oeiras already celebrates the 25 of April
It is almost two months of initiatives, in various places and free entry, that the municipality of Oeiras receives on the way to the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. There are exhibitions, lectures, debates, concerts, guided tours, and endless activities.
The Magic of Aardman Studios
The Monstra – Lisbon Animation Festival (which also deserves the visit!), In partnership with the Marionette Museum, presents the first exhibition in Lisbon of the British Aardman Studios, founded in 1976 by David Sproxton and Peter Lord and responsible for films like ‘The Sheep Choné’ or ‘The Flight of the Hens’.
The meticulous and fun work of these studios counts on the exhibition of a free entrance. In all, there will be 47 puppets, eight scenarios, several storyboards, and several sketches. To visit until April 21 at the Puppet Museum.
Watercolors of Discovery
One of the most important works inspired by the expedition that resulted in the discovery of Brazil arrives for the first time in Portugal on March 9, exactly 519 years after the armada commanded by Pedro Álvares Cabral from Lisbon. The 52 works that make up the exhibition ‘Aquarelas do Descobrimento’, by Carybé, a plastic artist who, throughout his brilliant career, portrayed Brazil in a very own way. The exhibition is open until May 4 at the Independence Palace (Largo São Domingos, 11 – Lisbon).
Beyond this lonely carousel
‘Beyond this lonely carousel’ will get its name from ‘Lonely Carousel’ by Beth Gibbons and Rodrigo Leão. The goal is to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Gallery 111. More than 50 artists are remembered here, in a prestigious list that includes names like Júlio Pomar, Paula Rego or Vieira da Silva. Patent until March 30, at Galeria 111, Campo Grande.
Discover the National Sports Museum
In a country that has some of its most outstanding international figures in the sport, it is always good to remember the beginnings of sport in our country. At Palácio da Foz, in Praça dos Restauradores, the National Sports Museum is open for visitors.

The Campo de Ourique market, in the heart of one of the most historic neighborhoods ‘alfacinhas‘, has music for all tastes. This March there are small and large concerts to see and hear in the most traditional market in the country.
JP Simões live
It has been a hit, Mercado Bom Sucesso, with live music to enjoy every weekend. This Saturday is no exception and the name is special: JP Simões (Tati Quintet, Belle Chase Hotel), a voice of Portuguese music that, solo or accompanied, takes two decades of the best national music.
Romantic Museum of Quinta da Macieirinha
Among Porto’s wide cultural offer there are opportunities that you can take advantage of depending on the calendar. This is the case of the Romantic Museum of Quinta da Macieirinha, which although it has a symbolic entrance fee (2.20 euros), can be visited free of charge at the weekend. The museum is housed in a late 18th-century building, integrated into Quinta da Macieirinha. In addition to the ‘old’ interior space, the surrounding space also deserves a peek.
