The ZERO Association with the webinar “Rural fires and biodiversity”

The Sustainable Land System Association – ZERO – will host a webinar on rural fires and biodiversity on July 9

Year after year, fires affect vast areas of Portugal. Areas of scrub, production forest, and even areas with high biodiversity conservation value, nothing seems to escape this scourge. There is still a lack of planning, collaborative management of the smallholdings in a context of abandonment of the rural world, investment in indigenous species and even rethinking how we use fire.

On the 9th of July, at 9:30 pm, as part of the Half-Hour of Good Environment cycle, the fourth webinar will be promoted, with the motto “Rural fires and biodiversity”.

This webinar will include the participation of Carlos Aguiar, Agronomist, Botanist, and Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and moderator Paulo Lucas, from the ZERO Association.

You can follow this debate for free on the ZERO facebook page.
