There is already referee for the Benfica visit to the home of Dinamo Zagreb

UEFA revealed on Tuesday that Michael Oliver will lead the game.

English referee Michael Oliver will referee Benfica’s visit to Dinamo Zagreb’s Croatians on Thursday, the first leg of the UEFA Europa League first knockout rounds, UEFA announced today.

Michael Oliver, 34 and international since 2012, will once again headline a meeting with Portuguese sides, having been on the home visit of FC Porto against the Turks of Galatasaray (1-0), the group stage of the Champions League .

Earlier, the English referee was in two Sporting matches for the main European club event, hosting Legia Warsaw (2-0 win) in 2016/17 and Juventus (2-1 ) in 2017/18.

Benfica and Dinamo Zagreb play the first leg of the ‘eighth’ on Thursday, starting at 17:55 (Lisbon time), returning to meet on March 14 at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.
