Ticha Penicheiro will be in the Hall of Fame

A former basketball player will be honoured next June 8.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the list of 12 finalists of the 2019 class and Ticha Penicheiro is one of the basketball players to be honoured on June 8 in Knoxville, United States.

In addition to the former WNBA player, Joan Cronan, Nora Lynn Finch, Ruth Riley, Carolyn Bush Roddy and Valerie Still are all in the 2019 class to be honoured with the Eastman trophy and a celebration ring for entry into the Hall of Fame.

It is recalled that Ticha Penicheiro, who was notable in the service of the Sacramento Monarchs, was named one of the best basketball players of the American women’s basketball league.
