The Brazilian musician performed in Lisbon and today will be in Porto
Returning to Portugal marking his 50 years of career, 72-year-old Toquinho, who last year went through several Portuguese rooms, always full, this year was at the Tivoli BBVA Theater two nights and is today, the 9th, at the Porto Coliseum. Comes with singer Camila Faustino and clarinettist and saxophonist Nailor Proveta.
Toquinho, born Antonio Pecci Filho, a small and affectionately called by his mother, “my little touch of people”, the stage name he adopted, and which is now the name with which he identifies.
He has recorded over 400 unreleased songs, edited 86 albums and stepped on the stage around the world nearly ten thousand times, always delighting the public. Collaborated with some of the biggest names in Brazilian music, such as Chico Buarque, Vinicius de Moraes, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso or Maria Bethânia.
São Paulo-born singer, songwriter and guitarist of excellence shared the stage with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli in 2009 and in 2010 is one of Bossa Nova’s best-known names.
His last album, Quem Viver Verá, 2011, is working, with his compositions and lyrics by Paulo César Pinheiro.
In the show, he presented the public with many successes such as “Afternoon in Itapuã”, “As the poet says” or “Samba pra Vinicius” among many others, but also enchanted the audience with wonderful stories.
