Tribute concert to Pedro Barroso on saturday at Teatro Virgínia
The show, entitled ‘Long live who sings! – Concert in honor of Pedro Barroso’, with a presentation by Armando Carvalhêda, takes place on the day that the singer would turn 70 years old.
On stage will be Ana Laíns, António Laranjeira, João Chora, Nuno Barroso, Teresa Tapadas, Vitor Sarmento and musicians Ana Alves, David Zagalo, Luís Sá Pessoa, Manuel Rocha, Miguel Carreira, Pedro Fragoso, Ricardo Parreira, Rodrigo Serrão, Susana Santos .
Pedro Barroso, who died on March 17th, was born in Lisbon, on November 28th, 1950, in a family from Riachos, Torres Novas, city where he lived since childhood and that always considered his homeland.
Successful interpreter like “Menina dos Olhos D’Àgua”, celebrated, in December 2019, 50 years of career, with a concert at Teatro Virgínia.
The show is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm on Saturday, due to the constraints resulting from the Torres Novas municipality being considered of high risk, given the number of cases of infection by the new coronavirus.
