Twenty-two shows on the program of the 24th Mostra de Teatro de Almada
‘Mythos’, by Teatro Extremo, is the play that opens the event at Teatro Estudio António Assunção and repeats the next day.
‘Nãose ganha, não se paga’, ‘O miúdo da bica’, ‘Und – Abertura de processo’, and ‘Saídos da casca’, are among the premieres of the show, according to the program available on the internet.
Closing the initiative are two pieces: ”Germínio, o micróbio malvado‘, an online show to be presented in the afternoon at Incrível Almadense, and ’25 fragmentos‘, which the new theater group from Gandaia takes to the scene at its headquarters in Costa da Caparica.
The launch of the magazine ‘Wos‘ is also part of the event’s program as a complementary activity.
With a regular character and an annual edition, the publication collects testimonies from Portuguese creators with relevant work in the previous year. The project is coordinated by the director, playwright and performer Gisela Cañameno.
The 24th Almada Theater Exhibition takes place in various locations in the municipality of Almada, in spaces such as Academia Almadense, Recreational Sports of Trafaria, Incredible Almadense, Fernando Lopes-Graça Auditorium, and Convento dos Capuchos, among others.
The show is an annual initiative organized by the local authority and by the county’s theater groups aimed at promoting and publicizing their theatrical production, whether amateurs or professionals.
