Valentine’s Day dinner at El Bulo Social Club by Chakall
There are only 2 days left for the most romantic day of the year and, in Marvila, at El Bulo Social Club, the hustle and bustle is already going on with the preparations for Valentine’s Day dinner. The menu proposal for this one is inspired by the gods because Chakall believes that love is divine and transcendental!
The welcome is given by the Borbulhas de Amor Cocktail which starts the 6 Passos do Amor menu created especially by Chef Chakall on a journey to the flavors of passion for an unforgettable and memorable night.
This is followed by Prawn Apaixonado (shrimp carpaccio with passion fruit), Espírito de Juno (chicken kebab with chocolate sauce), Vieira Venus (scallop flabbed with Armagnac), Jacuzi Neptuno (vol-au-vent of monkfish with milk coconut), Ecstasy à Baco (veal loin with Port wine sauce, served with a thousand sweet potato leaves), and, to finish off in an epic way, the Ménage à Trois (chocolate trilogy). And since El Bulo Social Club is an inclusive space, an option for vegetarians was created, because “we don’t leave any lovers out”, says Chef Chakall, who will be in charge of the kitchen that night, “I let my executive chef go from vacation, so I will be entirely responsible for the romance of the night! I don’t know what my wife will think about this… ”. This year’s Valentine’s Day Menu has a value of € 30 per person, without drinks, or € 40 per person, with drinks (red or white wine, sparkling wine, water, and coffee).
And because love takes many forms, the menu is supportive. Of the value of each menu, € 1 reverts to SPEM – Portuguese Society of Multiple Sclerosis. It is not new, since Chakall and El Bulo Social Club are involved in various social causes. “As SPEM is a neighbor, we took advantage and joined 2 loves – one to Marvila, since they are located in the same square as us, and on the other hand it is a way to support the important work they do that is still an act of love that makes a difference in people’s lives. ”
Nothing was left to chance for Valentine’s Day and at the Schweppes Live Stage will be Michel William, a Mozambican musician based in Portugal, who has an engaging voice and a very special charisma. A former competitor in the latest edition of The Voice, he released his solo album I’ve Got a Plan in December 2019. It was then that he stepped onto the stage of El Bulo for the first time and Chakall confesses that “the enthusiasm of the audience that first night with Michel’s performance was such that I had no doubts, he had to come back more often! Given his delivery on stage and the way he interacts with people, it seemed the right choice, and the most obvious, for a day when LOVE is the main ‘actor’! ”
“The suggestion is on the table! We wait for you to live one night
memorable together! challenges Chakall.
