Victoria Kaminskaya beats national record of 200 meters breaststroke

Portuguese swimmer Victoria Kaminskaya set a new 200-meter breaststroke national record today with a time of 2.26.06 minutes, giving her qualification for the semi-finals at the Gwangju World Championships in South Korea.

Kaminskaya beat for more than a second the previous national high of 2.27.19 minutes, which already belonged to Benfica swimmer and had been reached on August 6, 2018, in Glasgow.

The swimmer reached the 14th fastest time in qualifying, which earned her the qualification for the World Cup 200m breastfeeding semi-finals, which are scheduled to start at 21:21 (13:21 in Lisbon).
