WebSummit is one of the largest events dedicated to entrepreneurship and technology in the world, held at Parque das Nações, Lisbon, and is scheduled to begin on November 4th.
But today there was a small presentation to journalists in Cascais, at The Gathering, where 200 guests – among entrepreneurs, investors, speakers and some journalists, are gathered this Saturday.
Present were Paddy Cosgrave, who spoke about his expectations for the mega event and the politicization of technology. Miguel Pinto Luz, the Cascais vice-mayor, welcomed the choice of Cascais for The Gathering.

Edward Snowden, but also Brad Smith, Microsoft’s chief legal counsel and chairman, Guo Ping, Huawei chairman Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister, and European Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, in this fourth Web Summit will take place in Lisbon.
