What is a String Quartet? The Lisbon Film Orchestra explains at Malaposta

Lisbon Film Orchestra and Musical Instruments: The Strings – Didactic Concert

Today a series of musical concerts opens specifically for the youngest, performed on stage by the Lisbon Film Orchestra, nationally known for playing, in orchestra, soundtracks from the great cinema.
The challenge in Malaposta goes even further: making known string instruments to children. To this end, this show features a String Quartet, composed of two violins, a viola d’arco and a cello. Using multimedia materials, it will be explained to children, in an educational way and for 45 minutes, how the instruments are built, what their history is, how they play, what their acoustics and the most common repertoire are.
