What you can only see when the lights go out in Serralves

By day, the sun brings to the Serralves Foundation, in Porto, the light that makes the green of the gardens even more alive. When night falls, shadows and reflections make everything look different.

The third edition of “There is Light in the Park” counts on the participation of João Paulo Feliciano and promises to take hundreds, during the summer nights, to know the nooks of the immense gardens. In a completely different perspective.

From 9:00 pm to midnight, until September 9, visitors have the opportunity to see the works of light and the pieces created by the artist of Caldas da Rainha, which are visible from the exerior. But the intervention in the usual light of the building is perhaps what most captures the looks of those who visit Serralves at night.

A set of sculptures, which use various types of lamps, compose the work that is on display in the main hall, the piece “Temporary Lamp Sculptures”, designed by the author specifically for the event.

The lights come on every day, but until August 28 the park is open from 10 am to midnight (until 9 pm entrance can be done through the gate at Rua D. João de Castro and after 9 pm Avenida do Marechal Gomes da Costa).

Ticket required.
