French musician Yann Tiersen will give two concerts in September in Lisbon and Porto, where he will present the album “All”, which he released in February, was announced today.

The composer, who has been a regular presence on the national stage for nearly 20 years, will be on September 29 at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, and the next day at the Coliseu do Porto.

The dates in Portugal are part of a European tour with the album ‘All’, released in February and recorded on the island of Ushant, on the west coast of France, where the musician lives.

It was there that Yann Tiersen converted an old disco into a music studio and cultural centre, named The Eskal and opened in February with the presentation of new compositions.

‘All’ is marked by the theme of the environment, already present in the previous album ‘EUSA’, of 2016, and the compositions are impregnated of sounds recorded in nature, in the region of Brittany and the United States, it is read in the official page of Yann Tiersen.

In the album, they also participate the musicians Ólavur Jákupsson, Anna von Hausswolff, Emilie Tiersen and Denez.

With a classical background and experience in rock music, Yann Tiersen, 48, has a dozen or so copyright albums released in 1995, including ‘Le Phare’ (1998), ‘L’absente’ (2001) and ‘Dust Lane’ ), and six albums of film compositions.

He is the original song of the films ‘The Fate of Amélie Poulain’ (2001), by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and ‘Goodbye, Lenine’ (2003) by Wolfgang Becker.

Parallel to the song, Yann Tiersen has made a “slow trip around the world by bicycle”, having already made routes in Britain and Norway.
