YES, one of the best known progressive rock bands considered true legends, announce a new date on April 11, 2021 in Campo Pequeno. The Album Series 2020 Tour presents the 1974 “Relayer” album in its entirety, along with a selection of other classics.
This tour succeeds “YES 50 Anniversary 2018” and again features Steve Howe (guitars), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Billy Sherwood (bass and vocals), Jon Davison (vocals) and Jay Schellen (drums) .
The concert will consist of two sets by the band, the first with classic tracks from the extensive YES catalog and the second will focus on “Relayer”, the seventh studio album and one of the most distinctive of the band. This was the milestone of a slight change of direction that coincided when Patrick Moraz replaced Rick Wakeman on keyboards, giving the album a more avant-garde air.
Released in late 1974 on Atlantic Records, the album continued YES’s smash hit, reaching # 4 on the UK album top and # 5 on Billboard US. With sales of over 50 million records and Grammy winners, they were inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017.
Steve Howe comments that the band is eager to play for all Portuguese fans and that during the first half of the night they will present a refined selection from the huge repertoire of 50 years of YES.
