Zomato crosses the Tagus River to the Romeira Market

Discovering places to eat and drink, Zomato invites foodies to discover the new foodcourt with patio and garden in Almada.

Did you know that there are more than two thousand restoration spaces to discover on the South Bank of the Tagus? ‘Are you still going to the same ones?’ Zomato, a platform for discovering places to eat and drink in Lisbon, Margem Sul, Oeste and Oporto, crosses the Tagus to showcase the recent Mercado da Romeira in Almada.

The event will take place today, October 11, and will be exclusive to around 150 guests until 9 pm, opening doors to the public, for those who want to enjoy the party atmosphere. Guests will have access to Zomato hobbies and giveaways within the Marketplace.

The ‘Zomato no Mercado’ integrates a series of events that will happen with the purpose of making known the different options in the city.

The dining space in the Romeira Market brings together 12 food and beverage spaces, including sushi, meat, seafood, tapas, snacks and many others, as well as an outdoor space with terrace and lawn.

With the event, Zomato reinforces its research component and discovery of restaurants and bars, offering information on more than 17 thousand spaces such as menus, timetables, telephone, maps and others. Through the Zomato app, you can even make online reservations, share and view user-generated views and photos, favorite lists, and other features like the exclusive membership club in the app that allows you to access restaurant and bar offers, the Zomato Gold, and the latest video functionality on the platform, Sneak Peek, which allows a different look at the cuisine of some restaurants, chefs, recommended dishes among others.

At the South Bank, you can find more than 60 sushi restaurants, more than 170 pizzas serving more than 30 vegetarians, 41 places with healthy food.

More than 80 hamburgers, more than 750 Portuguese restaurants, over 200 with snacks, 168 seafood restaurants, Mexican, Peruvian, Greek, Indian, African and Brazilian cuisine and many others, distributed in the areas of Almada, Costa da Caparica, Sesimbra, Setúbal, Moita, Alcochete, Palmela, Montijo, Barreiro, Seixal, among others. You will be able to find new restaurants and bars by location, types of cuisine, average cost for two people and other variables. Enjoy your food!
