Agir took the stage of Noites F with special guests in Faro

The artist Agir gave a concert last Saturday at Festival F and took with him Tainá and Paulo de Carvalho

Between the opening night, with Diogo Piçarra, and the closing night, with Miguel Araújo, there is humor with César Mourão, Herman José and Salvador Martinha; magic with Luís de Matos; and lots of music: from the pops of Aurea, Agir, D.A.M.A and Fernando Daniel, to the heavy metal of the Moonspell or the hip-hop of Piruka, passing by the special shows, in duet, by Tiago Nacarato & Bárbara Tinoco and Carolina Deslandes & Jimmy P, until the concerts of António Zambujo, Os Quatro e Meia, Pedro Abrunhosa, Sérgio Godinho, The Black Mamba and Xutos & Pontapés, these 20 shows celebrate the reunion between the public and the artists, with their eyes set on the F of Future.

Bernardo Costa, better known artistically as Agir, is a singer and music producer from Lisbon. Composer since he was 12 years old, Agir inherited from his parents a passion for the performing arts, it is for music that he likes to live. He started his career writing songs and making covers on YouTube and later compiled some of his successful songs creating his first album,  “Agir“.

Currently, with 3 albums published, Agir is one of the most reputable artists of his generation, being a constant presence on the radio, both for his solo themes and for his various collaborations with some of the biggest names in the national music industry such as Ana Moura, Carolina Deslandes, Diogo Piçarra, Karetus, Papillon and 9 MILLER.

During his musical journey he has achieved several milestones including three sold out Coliseums, the “Best Portuguese Act” award at the MTV EMA 2015, a Golden Globe Award for “Best Individual Performer”, the Platinum disc award from the album “Leva-me A Sério” and the Disco de Ouro brand reached with the album “Duetos” by Paulo de Carvalho, of which he produced.

Last Saturday, the 29th, Agir took the stage of Festival F for “Noites F“, a festival’s event adapted to the global pandemic, for an intimate concert with two special guests, Tainá and Paulo de Carvalho.

With Marco Reis and David Picarra, on the guitars and second voices, the concert started at around 10:30 pm with the song “Até ao Fim”, which is originally sung with the artist Diogo Piçarra, followed by “Mountains“, song by Agir and by artist Carolina Deslandes.

Agir then called his first special guest and Tainá joined the stage to sing a duet of the song “Respirar“, a song by Agir, Carolina Deslandes and Diogo Piçarra, and her song “Sonhos“, from 2019.

“I haven’t played concerts in about a year and it’s sweet to be able to sing and tell stories again for you. I wanted it to be a more intimate concert, where the scenery reminds me of a living room where I am with my friends, you guys. I hope you like it ” said the singer before singing his song that he launched during the pandemic with the Brazilian artist Vitão entitled “Mais que Bom“, and the song “Alma Gémea“, from 2013.

The song that followed talks about loneliness and mental health where the artist made an appeal to “always pay attention to those around us and not think only of ourselves“, the song is called “Alma“. We also heard “Bola de Cristal“, from his first album, and “Manto de Água“, originally sung with the fado singer Ana Moura.

Agir called his second luxury guest and Paulo de Carvalho, his father, joined him on stage to sing the songs “Meu Mundo Inteiro“, “Mãe Negra” and “Os Meninos de Huambo“.

There was obviously no lack of hits from the singer like “Minha Flor“, “Como Ela É Bela” and “Parte-me o Pescoço“.

The times we live in today are not easy but we still managed to prove that with care, and gradually, we can return to normality“, said Agir thanking Festival F, the Municipality of Faro and Sons em Transito for the initiative with votes so that next year he can get back on the road.

The concert, which although intimate, did not lack energy, ended with the song “Tempo É Dinheiro“, one of its biggest hits.

Festival F is not over yet! Next week, it will be the turn of Sérgio Godinho, Carolina Deslandes & Jimmy P, Luís de Matos and António Zambujo to perform, and, in the last week, it will be the turn of Salvador Martinha, Tiago Nacarato & Bárbara Tinoco, Piruka and Miguel Araújo to take the stage.

On ‘Noites F’, the 20 shows that symbolically celebrate Festival F are taking place at Largo da Sé, which traditionally hosts the Sé Stage, while the remaining stages and spaces of the festival (Quintalão, Museum, Ria, Fábrica, Formosa, Sé cloisters, among others) are waiting for 2021 to start receiving music, fine arts, workshops, new circus, theater, humor, and gatherings, in a rich and diversified program that has continued to grow over 6 editions.

The ‘Noites F’ seek to help to keep the spirit of Festival F alive, at a time when artists and the Portuguese most need culture and entertainment to face the challenges brought by the pandemic positively and with hope. ‘Noites F’ is an initiative of the Municipality of Faro, the Municipal Theater of Faro, S.M., Ambifaro, and the producer Sons em Trânsito.
